An infamous and highly disturbing scene from the 1976 film Marathon Man, in which the protagonist is brutally tortured with dental equipment by an escaped Nazi war criminal features Dustin Hoffman as the graduate student, Thomas Babbington “Babe” Levy, and Laurence Olivier as Dr. Christian Szell. The former concentration camp dentist/torturer and diamond smuggler came to mind yesterday, December 3, 2025, when Democrats from the United States House Oversight Committee suddenly and unexpectedly released a set of previously unseen photographs and video footage from Jeffrey Epstein’s infamous private Caribbean estate, Little Saint James, that included images of bedrooms, bathrooms, office spaces, and a room containing a dentist style chair surrounded by dozens of ominous male masks indicative of a psychological operation.
In the particularly shocking and creepy images made public by the Oversight Committee of this room resembling a dental or medical setup, we notice a chair positioned beneath dozens of male masks mounted on the wall. Amongst them, we notice a specific mask that resembles none other than, Adolf Hitler.

The arrangement of the masks gives the space a highly unusual appearance compared to the residential rooms found on the rest of the island that resemble a typical Caribbean resort. The chilling scene from the Marathon Man where Olivier’s character tortures Hoffman’s character with a dental drill, repeatedly asking, “Is it safe?” comes to mind. Was this tactic used on the more rebellious girls on the island to threaten them without leaving traces? Well, all the evidence shown until now seems to indicate that.

The idea is terrifying as we know several victims of Jeffrey Epstein attempted to leave his private island, Little St. James by swimming, but none successfully escaped, they were always caught and returned.
In the movie Marathon Man, Dustin Hoffman’s life is turned upside down when his brother is murdered. His brother,Henry “Doc” Levy, portrayed by Roy Scheider, turns out to be a secret government agent working for an intelligence agency whose task force handles jobs outside the normal scope of agencies like the FBI and CIA, a role he keeps hidden from his brother. He is a courier for Nazi war criminal Dr. Christian Szell’s diamonds, a task he performs to track down other Nazis, but Doc is killed by Szell when he goes to New York. “Babe” Levy and his Jewish leftist identity is a central part of his character in the film, as his father was also a historian who was driven to suicide by McCarthy-era charges.Coincidentally, the current frenzy over the Epstein files is reminiscent of the frenzy over Communism in the 1950s, as The Hill describes it as “Epstein McCarthyism.”
Advocates for alleged victims of the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein are calling for members of Congress to read out the names of accused perpetrators on the floor of Congress, and several members have agreed to do so. By reading these names on the House or Senate floor, they would immunize themselves from any legal consequences, thanks to the Speech and Debate clause of the U.S. Constitution which was employed by Senator Joseph McCarthy (R-Wisc.) in the 1950s when he read out lists of alleged communists on the Senate floor.
